IMS rebranded as FundQuest

IMS Ltd has been rebranded as FundQuest UK, with current chief executive Antony John also taking on the head of marketing and communication roles.

The move comes after a six-month integration per- iod following the acquisition of IMS by FundQuest, the specialist multi-man- ager arm of BNP Paribas Investment Partners.

IMS chief investment officer Giles Gilbertson will take responsibility for manager and fund research as well as the running of single manager portfolios while Fund-Quest Paris CIO Christophe Belhomme will manage asset allocation and all multi-asset portfolio, with both retaining their CIO roles.

Alongside its home market, FundQuest UK will also cover South Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Scandinavia.

FundQuest global head Michel Anastassiades says: “The acquisition of IMS was an extremely important step in helping FundQuest establish a substantial UK presence. As well as the obvious business advantages that this brings, the company as a whole and its clients will benefit from the strengthened investment expertise and supporting infrastructure of the combined group.”

IMS was founded by Rich- ard Timberlake and Peter O’Connor in 1999.
