IMF says maintain private pensions system

The International Monetary Fund says limiting future public spending obligations by maintaining a large privately funded pensions system is the most important factor for ensuring the strength of the UK economy. An IMF statement this week said UK pensions should be simplified to increase take-up amongst low to middle income earners and life insurance products should be standardised in accordance with Sandler&#39s recommendations.
