IMA to close UK zeros sector

The Investment Management Association is to close the UK zeros sector from September 30, 2009.

The Performance Category Review Committee concluded there were too few funds in the sector to allow fair comparisons and the five funds should move to the IMA specialist sector, where they will be flagged.

The UK Zeros sector was created in April 2004. At launch the sector comprised of 10 funds which the IMA sees as the minimum number for a sector.
