IFP launches new financial planning award for excellence

The Institute of Financial Planning has today launched the application process for a new award for accredited financial planning firms.

The Recognising Excellence award will be given to the leading financial planning firm of 2013. Judging will take place over the summer months and the winning firm will be announced at the IFP conference in October.

The assessment process takes into account the impact the firm has made on the financial planning profession over the past year, as well as assessing business performance.

IFP education director Sue Leech, who is an award judge, says: “We are really excited to launch this new award. Accredited firms represent the leaders in the financial planning profession. This is not just by demonstrating excellence in process and service to clients but, most importantly, in setting the standard to which other firms will aspire.

“The winning firm will clearly show itself to be the best of the best and will be a shining example of how firms can thrive despite the challenges that many advisory businesses now face.”
