IFDS poaches GBST UK business head

GBST Wealth Management head of UK business Ian Wilkinson is to join technology firm International Financial Data Services as director of platform technology.

Wilkinson has been with the wrap technology provider since March 2007, the firm provides the technology behind the Novia, AJ Bell, JP Morgan and Aegon Retirement Choices platforms.

GBST chief executive Rob DeDominicis says: “Over the last five years Ian has been a valued member of the management team at GBST. However, all good things come to an end and although we are sad to see him leave, we wish him every success in his new position.”

IFDS, a financial services outsourcing joint venture run by US investment services firm State Street Corporation and US investment software company DST systems, holds a 24 per cent stake in Cofunds.

IFDS declined to comment.
