IFAs key to boosting market confidence, says Cofunds

Advisers are the key to restoring confidence in the financial services industry, Cofunds chief executive officer Brett Williams has claimed.

Speaking at an investment conference, Williams said confidence in the industry can be restored providing fund groups and investment firms focus their efforts on making advisers’ lives easier.

He said: “I think our industry often forgets what it is like to be an adviser. And now, more than ever, we need to be there for advisers and help them sustain and grow successful businesses, no matter what their business structure or means of remuneration.

“Together with fund groups and other investment partners, we intend to deliver innovations in technology, support and service which enable advisers to help their clients more easily.”
