IFAs get on-line marketing boost

IFAs who need to move their business on-line are being offered help from a new Clerical Medical guide.

The guide advises IFAs on how to build their own website to grow their businesses through effective on-line marketing.

The life office hopes the guide will allow advisers to capitalise on the skills and experience of its marketing team, who were responsible for compiling it.

Responding to the competitive pressure experienced by IFAs, the guide is designed for those who want to use the internet to keep pace with new on-line market players.

Clerical Medical says heightened pressure from new on-line competitors plus changes in legislation means IFAs&#39 marketing efforts need to be as effective as possible.

The guide is the latest in the company&#39s “How to” series, and follows previous editions which focused on press advertising, databases and organising seminars.

Clerical Medical senior sales development executive Nathan McGurl says: “Some of the new competition are household names and IFAs may find it difficult to compete against them. IFAs must exploit their unique position.”
