IFAs burst into auction to help needy children

Support services company Bankhall played host to an awards dinner which

raised £72,000 for children&#39s charity Destination Florida.

Destination Florida sends terminally ill children on US holidays.

Bankhall raised the cash by a combination of auctioning everything from

signed footballs to flight tickets and inviting donations from those who

attended the dinner.

It means 72 children can now have the “holiday of a lifetime”.

The fund-raising event two weeks ago also doubled as an awards ceremony

for product providers and Bankhall staff.

The winners included Scottish Provident as best life & protection

provider, CGU as best pension provider and Standard Life Bank as best

mortgage product provider.

A group of Bristol IFAs completed a cycle ride which raised £12,000

for another children&#39s charity, Child Safe, which devel-ops methods of

protecting youngsters abroad.

The IFAs (pictured above), who pedalled across the volcanoes and mountains

of Lanzarote, were from the Falcon Group and Gregory Adam Financial

The IFAs were joined by members of the Avon & Somerset Police.
