IFAP backed by Project Mars

IFA Promotion is adding Old Mutual&#39s new multi-manager business, codenamed

Project Mars, to its list of sponsors, bringing the total number of

supporting companies to 32.

IFAP says Project Mars will provide further financial backing for its

campaign to encourage more people to seek independent financial advice and

raise the profile of its 10,000 members.

Old Mutual is set to launch Project Mars at the start of November to

capitalise on the demand in the multi-manager market. It is keeping details

confidential on how the new business will operate but managing director

Brett Williams says a key element will be the needs of the IFA.

Mars&#39 distribution will be exclusively through IFAs and it will focus

on investors in the mass affluent end of the market.
