IFA listings and comparison website VouchedFor.co.uk has secured a £150,000 investment from four angel investors, including former Gumtree managing director Doug Monro and Octopus Investments chairman Matt Cooper.

VouchedFor.co.uk has raised the investment through the seed enterprise investment scheme and plans to spend the investment on further development and promotion of the website.

The investors include former Gumtree managing director and chief operating officer of property website Zoopla Doug Monro, and Octopus Investment chairman and former Capital One Europe chief executive Matt Cooper.

Other investors include Samos Investments, which has also invested in the likes of Betfair and Ocado, and financial technology provider HD Decisions.

The VouchedFor.co.uk website first launched in June 2011, then relaunched a year later with marketing support from the Institute of Financial Planning, Fidelity FundsNetwork, Nucleus and financial services technology firm Voyant. It now has over 500 registered IFAs.
