IFA raises £5,000 for local charity

North-East IFA Lowes Financial Management has raised more than

£5,000 for the Amber Foundation charity, which helps unemployed

people aged between 18 and 30.

The charity aims to provide people with resources to get back into

work through training and support. Lowes and its 13 RI s have been

involved with the charity for several years.

Before his retirement in December, group chairman Ken Lowe asked

clients to consider giving to Amber because of the affiliation the

group has built up with the charity.

Lowes then matched every £20 donation with a further £5,

raising more than £5,000.

Amber will use the money to fund its residential centre, where it

runs rehabilitation schemes for young homeless and unemployed people

with depression or drug addiction.

Other charities sponsored by the Lowes include St John&#39s Ambulance

and the Northern Counties school for the deaf.

Managing director Ian Lowes says: “The fantastic generosity of our

clients who are willing to support such causes never ceases to amaze

me.”
