IFA Promotion is upgrading its hotline to allow callers to access details of IFAs who specifically say they will work on a fee basis.

Callers will also be able to request information about IFAs with particular skills such as pensions, investment or mortgages from the start of next year.

Hotline callers currently receive addresses and brief descriptions of three IFAs nearest to the address they give and a voucher for free advice without obligation.

Chief executive officer Ann-Marie Martyn says: &#34By upgrading our literature to help consumers understand the benefits of both fees and commission we are giving them all the information they need to make an informed decision.&#34
