Hughes quits as Burns-Anderson chief executive

Mike Hughes has resigned as Burns-Anderson chief executive less than three months after Money Portal acquired the business.

Hughes says he was offered another role within the Money Portal Group but turned it down to pursue other pers-onal ambitions. He says: “My objectives as chief executive have all been delivered and I believe my job with Burns-Anderson is largely complete.”

Sage Financial managing director Frank Gorrie will take over the running of Burns-Anderson in addition to his current responsibilities.

Peter Coleman, previously finance director at Burns-Anderson, has been appointed group chief financial officer of Money Portal and he will join the boards of all group subsidiaries.
