HSBC recruits global investment chief

HSBC Asset Management has appointed Chris Cheetham as global chief investment officer.

Cheetham will be responsible for HSBC&#39s investment strategy and process as well as its team of 250 investment professionals worldwide.

He joins from Axa Investment Managers, where he had been CIO for three years. Before Axa, which he joined in 1996, Cheetham spent 18 years with Prudential Portfolio Managers, where he led the global investment strategy and research team.
