HSBC investments makes two hires from Axa MM to its multimanager team

HSBC Investments has appointed James Hughes and Nicholas Pothier as head of its UK multi-manager range and portfolio manager on the range respectively.

Hughes joins from Axa Multi-Manager where he was a portfolio manager and lead researcher on UK asset classes. Pothier also joins from Axa MM where he was a portfolio manager as well as lead researcher on Japan, Asian and emerging equity managers.

HSBC global chief investment officer Joanna Munro says: “Multi-manager is a core component of our strategy to deliver world class solutions for our clients both internally and externally. These two excellent hires confirm our absolute commitment to delivering this strategy.”
