Interest rate:1% above Bank of England base rate or 5.4% gross a year

Term: Six years

Withdrawal penalties: Base rate tracker penalty-free withdrawals of at least 250 allowed. Fixed rate account withdrawals of at least 250 allowed subject to a market value adjustment

GUARANTED EQUITY BOND

Aim: Growth linked to the performance of the FTSE 100 index

Term: Six years

Return: 50% of the growth in the index at the end of the term

Guarantee: Original capital returned in full at the end of the term regardless of the performance of the index
