In this new position, Rudd will lead HSBC Investments’ 10-strong external sales force which services the UK discretionary and IFA markets, along with UK and international life company distribution.
Rudd, who joined HSBC Investments in November 2005, steps up to this role following the promotion of Andy Clark to managing director, wholesale, which took effect at the start of March.
Clark says: “Dan Rudd has been integral to the success of HSBC Investments’ growing presence in the intermediary market in recent years. His role will be to continue building on this success.”
Rudd says: “To be successful in this highly competitive market it is essential to provide a strong focus and specialisation in servicing our target customer segments. We have strong teams in place and I believe there is momentum in the business to maintain and accelerate growth.”
Rudd joined HSBC Investments as head of offshore sales in 2005. Prior to joining HSBC Investments, Rudd worked for Morgan Grenfell, (DWS Investments) for ten years, working in-conjunction sales and support functions.
