HSBC Investments appoints former DWS man as head of UK sales and marketing

HSBC Investments has appointed former DWS managing director Michael Warren as its managing director of UK sales and marketing.

Warren will have responsibilities for all sales and marketing relating to intermediary and institutional business. He will report to HSBC Investments UK and Middle East CEO Dean Buckley.

Warren left DWS following the merger of DeAM’s retail business with Aberdeen earlier this year. His appointment means HSBC Investments is bringing together its sales and marketing activities under single management with the aim of growing its market share.

Warren says: “HSBC has huge potential in the UK investment management sector, due to the strength of its people, investment capabilities and brand. I am delighted to be joining to help build on and maximise this potential.”
