HSA supports Princess Royal&#39s Trust

Healthcare cash plan provider HSA has become a corporate supporter of the Princess Royal Trust for Carers.

The support comes as the trust, which works to give advice, information and support to carers, is celebrating its 10th anniversary.

The trust was set up by HRH Princess Anne in 1991 and has built up a network of 106 centres across the UK which help more than 100,000 carers every year. It is planning a “champion carers” campaign for 2002.

HSA&#39s support will help fund independent research to enable the trust to measure and improve awareness of carers and issues they face, as well as awareness of the trust and its work with the general public.

HSA joins three other principal supporters of the trust&#39s 10th anniversary – the Bank of Scotland, Barclays and Signet.

Research funded by HSA shows 12.8 million people expect to become carers over the next 10 years.

Chief executive Des Benjamin says: “We are delighted to be one of the trust&#39s key corporate supporters and know that our support will help many thousands of carers across the country.”
