House prices up by 1.2 per cent in November – Nationwide

House prices rose by 1.2 per cent in November down from a 2 per cent rise in October, according to Nationwide&#39s monthly house price index. The average house cost £133,388 in November up from £131,947 in October.

Group economist Alex Bannister says: “The housing market remained firm in November with the price of the typical house rising 1.2 per cent during the month. The price of the average house rose by just over £1,400 in the month to £133,388 and the rate of annual house price inflation eased from 16.1 per cent in October to 15.2 per cent, remaining in line with our current expectation of a 15 per cent increase in prices in the year to December.”
