House prices see 12.2% annual drop in November

House prices dropped 12.2 per cent in November compared to the same month last year, Land Registry data reveals.

The latest figures show a monthly drop in house prices of 1.9 per cent in November with the average house price of £161,883 nearing 2006 levels.

The number of sales continued to decline at 48,599 between June and September.

House prices in London dropped 0.4 per cent and the average price was £317,101.
