House of the Rising Sum

We&#39ve had the Singing Detective, the Laughing Policeman and now could it be the Crooning Mortgage Adviser?

Twenty-two-year-old Skipton Building Society mortgage adviser Andrew Tillotson has been chosen from thousands of star wannabes to receive a £25,000 three-year scholarship to attend ArtsEd in Chiswick.

ArtsEd&#39s halls have previously been graced by the likes of Will Young, crooner of such tunes as Light My Fire and The Long and Winding Road.

The Diary ponders what songs Tillotson might perform. Abba&#39s Money Money Money or Shirley Bassey&#39s Hey Big Spender? Perhaps Hey Client of High Net Worth would be more appropriate.

The Diary wishes Tillotson luck in his new career.

A common or garden shed could also be former Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith&#39s road back […]

Gartmore has altered its fund of funds, allowing it to invest in funds managed by other investment houses. The arrival of Bambos Hambi and the rest of the multi-manager team in November last year prompted the decision to rename the existing fund the Gartmore Portfolio: balanced strategy fund and change its remit.
