Home Funding’s Tony Ward becomes Imla director

The Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association has appointed Home Funding managing director Tony Ward as director.

Peter Williams remains executive director, GMAC-RFC sales and marketing director Godfrey Blight remains chairman, Paragon Mortgages managing director John Heron remains deputy chairman, GE Money Home Lending chief executive Colin Shave and CHL Mortgages managing director Bob Young both remain directors.

Godfrey Blight says: “This is new ground for the mortgage industry. Now, more than at any time, it’s important to have a strong, united voice representing the views of all intermediary lenders – banks, building societies and specialist lenders – as a key component of the market place.”

He adds: “I’m very pleased to welcome Tony Ward back onto the Imla board. Tony brings with him a strong background in banking and finance spanning over 30 years. His expertise in the intermediary lending sector is a welcome addition to the IMLA board.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Paul Howard for his contribution to Imla – he has been a valued member of the board.”
