Hollands fails to stem tide

Leading investment IFA and Conservative hopeful Jason Hollands, standing for Hornsey & Wood Green, failed to make any impression on the sitting Labour MP Barbara Roche majority at yesterdays General Election.

Bestinvest deputy managing director, Hollands, trailed in third behind Labour and Liberal Democrat rivals, securing 6,921 votes a 15.7 per cent overall share compared to 21,967 or 49.9 per cent for Labour and 11,353 or 14.5 per cent for the LibDems.

There was a 6.2 per cent swing against the Tories and a 11.8 per cent swing against the Labour Home Office minister Roche. The main benefactors were the LibDems with a 14.5 per cent swing in their favour.
