Holland quits Capita to launch dotcom venture

Capita Financial Software non-executive chairman Paul Holland has stepped down from his role to focus on his new venture

Holland founded Webline in 1995 and sold the portal to Capita in 2006. Following the sale, Holland was executive chairman at the firm but became non-executive chairman late last year. is a consumer-facing platform enabling customers to store personal and financial information in one place. It was set up by Holland, Quay Software co-founder Mitchell Philpott, Park Row founder JP Wilkins and former Webline director Ian Price.

The website goes live at the end of this week for a select number of users and will launch to the rest of the market from the fourth quarter.

Holland says: “Allmyplans. com enables the consumer to do anything from valuing their pension fund to issuing a reminder to send a birthday card. It’s a household organiser.

“A consumer can manage their affairs themselves or switch the servicing rights to us. It is a service-only proposition, we are not advising.”


Sun Life of Canada bolsters marketing

Sun Life Financial of Canada has appointed The Hartford’s Mark Stopard as head of marketing for its UK life and pensions arm. Stopard will establish a product strategy for the firm following the acquisition of Lincoln National UK.
