HMRC appoints four non-executive directors

HM Revenue & Customs has appointed four new non-executive directors to its board.

Colin Cobain, Philippa Hird, Phil Hodkinson and Dame Sue Street will join the board for a period of three years, with effect from January 2.

The new members will provide strategic leadership, approve business plans, monitor performance and ensure high standards of corporate governance.

HMRC and chairman of the board Mike Clasper says: “I am pleased to announce the appointment of four new non-executive directors to the board of HMRC. This is the next step in strengthening the department’s governance. The non-executives bring to the board a diverse mix of expertise and skills from across both public and private sector.”
