HMC launches fixed rate loans

The Household Mortgage Corporation has launched two fixed rate mortgages.


The two year rate is fixed at 6.25 per cent, while the five year loan is fixed at 6.75 per cent. Alternatively for self-certified customers the rates are increased to 6.75 per cent and 7.25 per cent respectively.


The lender has also announced it is cutting its base rate by 0.25 per cent to 6.74 per cent from September 1.
