Himsworth to join Gartmore

Leigh Himsworth is leaving his post at Royal London Asset Management to take up the role of head of UK equities at Gartmore.

Although final details of his responsibilities have not been confirmed, he will have a number of fund managers reporting to him. The rest will continue to report to Dominic Rossi, chief investment officer.

At Royal London, Himsworth is manager of the UK Mid-Cap Growth Trust. When he leaves this will be taken over by Derek Mitchell, who also runs the UK Special Situations Trust.
