Hillenbrand joins Henderson as UK retail sales director

Henderson has announced the appointment of former New Star sales head Simon Hillenbrand as director of UK sales.

Hillenbrand will take on the role from October 7 and will report to Mark Skinner, who becomes the group’s head of pan-European retail business.

Hillenbrand was previously managing director of UK retail sales at New Star.

He says: “I am pleased to be joining Henderson. Following the group’s acquisition of New Star earlier this year, I believe the company is well placed for future growth and I am looking forward to working with the strong team at Henderson at such an important time for the company. “

Henderson has also appointed Greg Jones and James Bowers to bolster its distribution capabilities.

Jones will be responsible for continental European retail distribution and will also report to Skinner, while Bowers will be responsible for UK and institutional product and will report to Stewart Cazier, who becomes director of retail business development.

Skinner says: “This is an important time for Henderson and its clients following the acquisition of New Star some six months ago. These appointments reinforce our commitment to the market and I am delighted that Simon, Greg and James will be joining Henderson. I am confident that their considerable experience and expertise will aid us in our commitment to improve our service to clients in both the UK and Continental European retail markets.”
