Henderson head of partnerships marketing Garry Whitefield is set to leave the business, Money Marketing’s sister title Fundweb understands.
Staff from across the business at the asset manager have been put on consultation, as the firm plans to cut jobs to make its business more efficient.
Whitefield joined Henderson as part of the New Star acquisition in April 2009. He was director of partnership marketing for eight years from 2001. He was also head of marketing at Keydata for a year.
In September, Fundweb.co.uk revealed Henderson director of marketing and distribution services Richard Wilson left the business. He was also from New Star where he was marketing director for over six years.
Last month, Fundweb.co.uk revealed that Artemis head of strategic alliances Sam Mettrick would be returning to Henderson Global Investors as head of partnerships in January 2013. Mettrick was formerly sales director for partnerships at Henderson New Star, leaving in November 2009. After leaving Henderson, Mettrick was replaced by James Tothill, who was appointed head of global partnerships. Tothill left Henderson after three years at the business in October.
A Henderson spokeswoman refused to confirm or deny whether Whitefield is leaving the business and says staff are currently on consultation.
She said: “As we said in our interim management statement on November 1, our strict cost discipline allows us to invest in core areas of the business.
“So, whilst there are likely to be headcount reductions in some parts of our business, we will also continue to invest in other areas where we see future client demand.”
