Henderson appoints head of UK marketing

Allyson Foster, the head of partnership marketing at Ignis, is to join Henderson as head of UK marketing.

Foster, previously head of UK marketing at New Star until joining Ignis in May 2009, will report to Richard Wilson, the director of marketing and distribution services at Henderson. She is expected to join in April.

According to Henderson Foster’s appointment bolsters their commitment to the UK retail market. This week the group announced its acquisition of Gartmore, which when completed, will see it become the sixth largest retail asset management house in the UK.

Foster says: “”Henderson has established itself as a leading asset manager in the UK retail market with an extensive product range and excellent distribution, I’m delighted to be joining the company at such an exciting time of its development.”

Ignis says it is looking at succession plans and plans a replacement in due course.
