Help the Aged director general calls for an end to pension means testing

Help The Aged director general Michael Lake calls for means testing for pensioners to be scrapped because it discriminates against the 20 per cent of pensioners “living in real poverty”. He also wants the state pension raised to a level accessible for more of the elderly.

The call came today at the Liberal Democrat&#39s annual conference in Brighton.
