Health Shield unveils Flexible Benefits products — with or without dental

Health Shield has introduced a series of Flexible Benefits products designed to remove any unnecessary duplication with other product providers.

The new products, which will be launched for all Flex schemes starting from January 2013, will offer a choice between a comprehensive health cash plan or one that removes the dental benefit. This is said to provide clients with the option of dovetailing the health cash plan with a standalone dental plan product.

Dental is consistently the third most popular benefit, according to recent industry research. Health Shield’s new schemes have been developed — through a dedicated product development focus group — to reflect this level of demand.

From January, Health Shield will offer four different Flexible Benefits schemes: Flex (three levels) and Flex Extra (five levels) — with or without dental. The Flex product range is designed to slot into any Flexible Benefits platform and can be provided on a voluntary or company-sponsored arrangement.
