The team at MM would like to say it is flattered by the attentions paid to it by recruitment firm Latimer International.
In a bid to poach staff at MM for no less than – wait for it, mega-network Misys – as press and communications manager, the headhunters approached three different MM reporters.
The delicate operation of subtly contacting people was done by email. When Corey Boles complained about his misspelled name, the headhunter banned him from any future opportunities with Latimer or its partner companies. Does this ban our regulation reporter from contacting the country's biggest IFA network?
Still, when challenged by the editor who suggested that the constant approaches were getting boring, Latimer then emailed back to say that whether or not MM was finding it boring, that was the way of headhunting.
Well having learnt from a firm which is clearly a master of this black art, MM is about to embark on its own spot of headhunting. We would like to invite everyone at Misys central to apply for our vacant features writer position. Anyone who feels they have the depth and breath of knowledge to cope with this role, feel free to send a CV and covering letter.
