Hargreaves rolls out S2P guide

Hargreaves Lansdown has produced a guide to explain the changes to the state second pension to help people with their contracting in or out decision.

The IFA says many people are unaware of their contracted out status and often do not realise their funds are being paid into a private pension.

Pensions development manager Danny Cox says: "The whole issue of state pensions is complex and difficult for people to make the right decisions. All employees should review their contracted out status. Getting the decision wrong could cost you valuable income when you retire."
