Hargreaves Lansdown puts hypermart on net

Hargreaves Lansdown is setting up its HL Vantage fund hypermarket online after bringing in £1bn under management in its first year in operation.

The site, which is claimed to offer investors all unit trusts, Oeics, investment trusts and shares on the market, will be available online through the website

The service will offer IFAs and investors access to all the funds and functions of the offline hypermarket. It will feature daily comment and fund manager news on the most popular 200 funds as well as information and research carried out by Hargreaves Lansdown.

For investors looking to open an Isa, it has a last-minute Isa centre to open an Isa online and choose funds, shares or cash.

Discounts are available, reducing charges to zero on almost 500 funds or to 0.25 per cent on a further 598 funds.

As a loyalty bonus, Hargreaves Lansdown will put part of the trail commission it gets on 799 funds back into investors&#39 funds on a monthly, quarterly or half-yearly basis, depending on the fund.

Senior analyst Meera Patel says: “Success starts with the HL hypermarket, which offers investors the opportunity to pick and mix investments within a Pep or an Isa, with the maximum discounts possible and no set-up fee.”
