Hargreaves Lansdown adds fund pair to Wealth 150

Hargreaves Lansdown has added the City Financial strategic gilt and Insynergy Odey fund to its Wealth 150 range.

City Financial strategic gilt looks for anomalies in the gilt market as well as pricing opportunities.

Analyst Stuart Goodwin says one of the best features of the fund is that it has the flexibility to switch between conventional and index linked gilts, offering protection to the portfolio from inflation.

The group has also added the Insynergy Odey fund managed by leading fund manager Crispin Odey.

Insynergy launched in 2008 and outsources its investment management to leading fund managers.

Head of research Mark Dampier says: “In my opinion Crispin Odey is one of the UK greatest investors over the last twenty years. In general his talents have been difficult for most investors to access because he has chiefly managed funds for professional investors. However, I believe his record ranks alongside established names like Neil Woodford of Invesco Perpetual and Anthony Bolton of Fidelity.”
