Hamilton promoted to Gartmore global equities product specialist

Gartmore has promoted Paul Hamilton to the new position of product specialist – global equities.

The group says the position was created following a surge of interest from UK and European investors in Gartmores global equities products.

Hamilton joined Gartmore in January 2003, and will now be responsible for promoting the Gartmore Sicav global focus fund and Gartmore global focus fund Oeic.

He will also be promoting its long/short market-neutral global hedge fund.

Gartmore head of global equities Neil Rogan says: Pauls appointment is an important one as we strive to build our market share in the UK and Europe. We are confident that we will be able to deliver another year of excellent performance in 2006, as well as establishing a major footprint as a leading Global Equities product provider in the European Retail and Global Hedge Fund sectors.
