Halifax and Bank of Scotland cut rates

Halifax and Bank of Scotland will be cutting rates this weekend, the ninth decrease in rates so far this year.

Across the group, 45 mortgage products are decreasing.

Halifax will be reducing 16 rates by up to 0.30 per cent while BoS will be reducing rates by up to 0.45 per cent.

In addition to the reductions in rate, a number of new products are being launched including a 10 year fixed rate and a number of deals for customers borrowing over £500,000.
