Guide to IFAs for the media

IFA Promotion is producing a press services guide of IFAs who want to raise their profiles by dealing with the media.

IFAP believes IFAs can raise awareness of the market and issues affecting advisers.

The guide will be distributed to over 400 journalists, including national and regional print press, television, radio and internet.

Ifap says it regularly gets queries from journalists wanting to contact IFAs.

The booklet contains details of 76 IFAs with photos, contact information and areas or issues they feel comfortable discussing. It has a comprehensive index pointing to female IFAs, top firms and regions.

Marketing director David Elms says: “There are huge benefits for IFAs as they could achieve publicity for their own businesses. We will be updating and reissuing the booklet twice-yearly and would encourage IFAs who are willing to spend some time and effort with the press to join the database.”
