Guide to help IFAs set up on the net

IFA Promotion and Aifa are teaming up to produce a guide for members detailing all IFA website development services available to them.

The Guide to Building Your IFA Business Online is free and tells IFAs how to set up a site and promote their business online.

The guide, researched and written by the Financial Technology Research Centre, gives advice and information on how IFAs can reduce costs and improve customer service by integrating the internet into their business strategy.

It takes IFAs through important issues to be addressed and objectives to be set before building a site.

It includes a web services directory listing 20 web development companies, which allows IFAs to weigh up the range of services offered and choose the best partner for their business before going online.

IFAP head of marketing and PR David Elms says: “As more people research and conduct their financial affairs online, we are encouraging all IFA members to look at ways that they can exploit this technology to their own business advantage.”

FTRC consultant and director Ian McKenna says: “The guide will save IFAs hours, possibly days, of research time which can then be spent turning online strategy into reality.”
