Group 300 complies around the clock with Australia move

IFA network and services provider Group 300 is moving into the Australian market with its compliance technology from November.

The Cambridge-based company, is offering I-Comply and I-Talk in Australia as the first of a range that the company is planning to export.

Group 300 plans to target big financial services salesforces and tied advisers and is already in negotiations with several Australian providers.

One of the main advantages of the initiative for Group 300 will be maximising the use of its UK server as the system can be used by Australian firms when UK users are off duty and vice versa due to the time differences between the two countries.

I-Comply offers advisers and providers simultaneous access to the Group 300 server so they can assess client information together online and get instant compliance sign-off.

It includes a facility that burns audio information, such as phone calls, on to un-editable CDs.

The group developed its hardware with technology firm Compunetix which pioneered a similar system for the US pharmaceutical industry.

Group 300 CEO Chris Batten says: “It makes commercial sense to use this system around the clock and strategically going into the Australian market is an attractive option. We wanted to break in to that market and compete at a lower price and we will certainly be doing this.”
