Government set to auto-enrol all employees over £7,500


Small employers will not be exempt from the Government’s auto-enrolment proposals, according to reports.

According to the BBC, the three-man independent review panel has listened to concerns expressed by the industry, most notably from business lobbying organisation the CBI, about the harm excluding small employers could cause to the reforms.

The minimum earnings threshold, set at £5,035 under the previous administration, will increase to £7,500, the BBC says.

Confirmation of the final auto-enrolment proposals will be made at 9.30am tomorrow with full updates and analyiss on the Money Marketing website.
