Google/YouTube to attend IFA internet marketing conference

IFA Life has revealed that a number of IFAs will be speaking alongside Google, YouTube and LinkedIn representatives at its internet marketing conference this week.

Keynote speakers at the conference, held in London, include Informed Choice chief executive Nick Bamford and Kinder Institute of Financial Planning founder George Kinder, as well as speakers from Google, LinkedIn, YouTube, Ecademy, the BBC, the Gate and BT Tradespace.

IFA Life founder Philip Calvert says: “There’s been a lot of buzz online about the potential for using social media within IFA firms, but to date there has not been an event which puts flesh on the bones.

“This is the first of a series of social media in financial services events, and we’re very excited to have such a stellar line-up. The expertise is out there, with internet professionals ready and willing to share their knowledge – IFAs have a fantastic opportunity to really get to grips with how the Internet can and will help their businesses.”

  1. And what an amazing event it was. I can’t remember seeing so many IFAs quite so excited about the future as they were at this event.

    It seems that RDR is the least of IFAs’ concerns. Getting themselves up to speed on how the Internet is impacting the distribution of financial advice is the number one issue in this industry now.
