AITC director general Daniel Godfrey today called on the investment industry to extend the 'its' campaign for another five years.
In a speech at the AITC conference for directors Godfrey called for the whole AITC membership to fund the programme, which has been criticised by some parts of the investment industry.
Godfrey says: “It's easy to forget, but less than three years ago the industry was on its back. now it's off the floor, doing well and on the front foot. Retail sales have all but doubled. The 'its' campaign has played a big part in this.”
Godfrey has received support from the IFA sector in the form of an open letter to Money Marketing from a number of IFAs, praising his efforts and the 'its'campaign.
