GISC delays decision on members

The General Insurance Standards Council has delayed its decision on

forcing its members to deal only with other GISC members until October 15,

a month later than originally expected. An appeal before the Competition

Commission Appeal Tribunal is pending and the council wants to give members

adequate time to consider its decision. The anticipated final date of

December 31 for full implementation of rule F42, which prevents GISC

members from doing business with non-members, remains unchanged.
