Gerrard in board shake-up after merger

Gerrard Investment Funds is restructuring its board after merging with Capel Cure Sharp in February.

Existing director Kenneth Levy will become chief executive. Operations manager Stephen Haines is being promoted to operations director. Finance director Ian Ferguson is retiring to make way for Peter Meyer, who is joining the company from Schroders.

Gerrard was previously Greig Middleton and is a subsidiary of Old Mutual. The appointments are subject to regulatory approval.

SLFoC appoints Hanby as managing director of UK insurance operations

Sun Life Financial of Canada is appointing Peter Hanby as managing director of its UK insurance operation. Steve Melcher, the previous managing director, will become non-executive chairman.
