Gemini Wealth Management has acquired adviser firm Warwick Wright Financial Services, taking its total number of acquisitions and recruitments to six since 2006.
The Shrewsbury based financial adviser has taken advantage of the RDR to grow the business by the acquisition of the client bank of Warwick Wright, whose managing director has since retired from financial services and through the acquisition of the client bank of a former Positive Solutions adviser who also retired.
Gemini Wealth Management now has in excess of 1,600 clients and manages total client funds of over £170m.
In addition to business acquisitions, Gemini has also been recruiting advisers to meet its aim of becoming one of the biggest firms in the local area.
It has recruited three full-time IFAs and one part-time, taking its total number of advisers to 12.
Gemini director Jason Moore adds: “The Retail Distribution Review presents real opportunities for established and forward thinking IFA practices such as Gemini.
“Gemini are always looking to the future, whether that be through further acquisitions or organic growth.”
Gemini director Amanda Reid says: “These acquisitions and recruitments emphasise Gemini’s strategy of actively growing for the future with the aim of becoming one of the top IFA firms in the West Midlands.”
