Type: Guaranteed equity bond

Aim: Income or growth linked to the performance of the Dow Jones
Euro Stoxx 50 index

Minimum-maximum investment: £7,000-£1m

Term: Three years two months

Guarantee: Option 1 &#45 100% of capital returned if the index falls by no
more than 20% or the final index level is at or above the original index
level. Option 2 – 100% of capital returned if the index falls by no more
than 30% or the final index level is at or above the original index level

Return: Option 1 &#45 10% gross a year, 0.78% gross a month, or 33%
growth. Option 2 &#45 8% gross a year, 0.64% gross a month, or 27%
growth

Closing date: July 5, 2002

Commission: Initial 3%
