Alliance Trust Savings has signed a deal to outsource its platform technology to GBST.
The move sees GBST provide its Composer technology for the ATS platform from early 2015 with the two businesses currently working through an integration programme.
ATS managing director Patrick Mill says: “The overwhelming feedback from ATS customers and intermediaries is while they believe in our products, our pricing structure and our customer service, we need to enhance our platform functionality in order to support their future requirements.”
GBST chief executive Rob DeDominicis says: “This announcement by another platform leader further endorses our technology and innovation capabilities. It highlights the ability of Composer to consolidate the administration of multiple platforms such as adviser, direct-to-consumer and workplace onto a single technology solution.”
Cyber IFA director Graham Worrall says: ”Their existing pricing structure is very good and extremely competitive but an update in technology is needed. The platform is not currenlty very adviser-friendly.”
From this month, ATS platform charges will increase by up to 87 per cent. The platform retains its flat fee charging structure.
